He never got over Indiana Jones.
Derek Thompson

A writer of fiction, non-fiction and comedy, his debut novel, Covenant, is available is paperback and ebook. He has three other novels in need of a home; a brace of short fiction; two orphaned sitcom scripts and a collection of comedy sketches.

I believe in faeries, tales well told, stitching silver linings on clouds, and that opinions are for entertainment purposes only.  I don't like tomatoes or aubergines. I'm not mad about celery either.

Exasperation is often short-lived , well, in my case that is, but even as I speak right now (type!)I'm fuming and twitching and tapping...So, come on. How do I get on board with you at writingstrictly? What? It's easy? So show me!

Hi, Tara.

If your challenge is sitting down to write, there's no way around it other than to make time and work with the page. If your challenge is connecting with a wider writing community, such as the good folk on Strictly Writing, become part of the conversation. Contribute ideas, ask questions and maybe share experiences. Above all, don't see it as a chance just for self-promotion. Nothing marks out a comment for deletion as quickly as someone trying to hide a sneaky - and wholly unrelated link.

Writing takes practice and there's never an ideal time to write, so just write!
