I've been a teacher, a typist, a painter, a PA, a theatre dresser and a television director.  Best job: making programmes for the BBC and Channel 4.  Worst: zipping hot, cross actors into giant fluffy costumes for The Honey Monster Magic Yellow Welly Show on the end of Bournemouth Pier.  Most embarrassing: when my midriff made an unprecedented appearance behind Sue Lawley on BBC News during a stint as the Worst Floor Manager In The World.  My novel, The Making of Her (contemporary women's fiction) is published by Linen Press Books - www.linenpressbooks.com
